Introduction to GDPR for Accountants
In Spring 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the Data Protection Act 1998. This will be the new primary law regulating how companies protect EU citizens’ personal data and is considered the biggest shake up data regulation has seen in the last 25 years.
It’s vital that companies prepare for GDPR, ideally well in advance of 25 May 2018 to avoid being non-compliant and potentially suffering harsh penalties and fines.
